Meet Elisabeth

Hi there. I’m Elisabeth. I’m thrilled that you found this little spot in the big ol’ world of the internet. (Or as they say on one of my favorite TV shows – Scrubs – the “inter-web” or “inter-highway”.) Ahh…Scrubs. Sorry – I totally get side-tracked way too easily.

So, welcome. Glad you’re here. You are probably thinking, “OK, get to the part where you tell us about yourself already!” and I’ve got to be honest, I have no idea what to say. I’m pretty much an open book – my words come out of my mouth about 10 minutes before I think about them so it’s pretty much a given that I’m going to make a fool out of myself. However, I like to give it a different spin – you know, to put myself in a little better light.

I’m really real – really authentic. Most of the time. Yes, like every other woman on the planet, I have this innate ability to cover up what’s really going on inside and I’m pretty good at being completely self-conscious. (I’ve been working on that since I was about 6.) However, that’s the real me. I’m totally NOT COOL. Like, at all. Sometimes I’ll even attempt it for about 3 seconds and then I just have to laugh at myself because…seriously? Who am I kidding, really?

I love people. I love children – even my own most of the time! I really.REALLY.really love ice cream. I will probably talk about that a lot when and if you meet me in person. (No joke.) I’m always trying to get my clients to consider ice cream cones during their sessions! (Because that means I get to have one too!) As you can tell, I have a hard time focusing – not all the time – but when it comes to conversation there’s just so much to SAY that I tend to not finish one topic before I launch into the next.

What else should you know about me? Um….I love babies. Oh my GOODNESS I love them. I love their (sometimes) hairy little ears and shoulders. I love their smooshy little faces and the delightful rolls. I love their beautiful gummy smiles! I use ANY and every excuse to sneak a snuggle in with them in between poses. (I will go ahead and warn you right now – if you don’t want me touching your baby I’m not the one to photograph your little one! I think it’s totally part of the deal that I get to soothe and snuggle with the babies as I get them ready for each pose.) Don’t worry – I’ve been told I’m really quite good at the baby-thing (a product of being the eldest of 4 children, babysitting since I was about 10 and of COURSE my own three snuggle-bugs!) so even the most unhappy of little ones are sure to give in! (And I’ll tell you right now that I bring with me a secret weapon. Yeah, you read that right. It’s awesome and it works 99.9% of the time. Yes, there was one baby who it didn’t work for. Poor little dude – oh wait, that’s another story.)

Oh my goodness this is dragging on! So that’s pretty much way more than I intended to say. You’ll get to know me a lot more by just reading my blog. I’ve got three children who keep me on my toes and make me laugh all the time. My husband ROCKS. We were High School sweethearts and married a short 6 months after graduating from HS. I’m so glad we did because we’ve had SUCH fun and so many adventures together. We have added some more chaos to our already noisy household with two dogs. Not little dogs – not little at all. Penny and Moose. Those two are a hoot and I promise not to bring them to your house. (Phew! You can relax now!)

OK I promise to stop. Right now. Thanks for reading…if you managed to stay awake long enough to get this far. OH! And I have FINALLY updated my family’s picture.:)This was taken by my awesome sister Lydia this Christmas (2012) – Thanks Lyd, I owe ya one!!
